Massachusetts Can Vote to End the War!
The Ballot Question Wins BIG!! read about it
... and not only in Massachusetts. read about it
On November 7, 2006, voters in 139 cities and towns in Massachusetts (84 in Western Mass) will have the opportunity to voice their opinion to end the war and bring the troops home from Iraq! (Click here to see the list of the municipalities that will see this question on their ballot.)
The text of the ballot will read:
| Shall the State Representative from this district be instructed to vote in favor of a resolution calling upon the President and Congress of the United States to end the war in Iraq immediately and bring all United States military forces home. |
Congressman Olver calls this ballot initiative democracy in action. In a statement released by his press secretary on 10/12/06 he added, "The Iraq referendum will allow Massachusetts voters to officially tell their legislators where they stand on the war."
