World’s Biggest Fair Trade Coffee Break Comes to Northampton
Aiming to set the world record for the biggest ever coffee break,
Northampton Fair Trade will stage a Fair Trade Coffee Break at three
locations on Saturday, May 10, World Fair Trade Day with a toast to Fair
Trade at 3 p.m. It will be one of over dozens of Fair Trade coffee
breaks held simultaneously around the country, with thousands of people
participating, and will focus on the benefits of Fair Trade for farmers,
consumers, and the environment. Northampton Fair Trade will provide free
fair trade coffee, chocolate, and educational literature.
Simultaneously at three locations:
Ten Thousand Villages, 82 Main Street, Northampton
River Valley Market, 330 North King Street, Northampton
Cup & Top Café, 1 North Main Street, Florence
Fair Trade Resource Network (FTRN.org), the national coordinator of
World Fair Trade Day in the United States, has teamed up with the newly
launched Fair Trade Towns USA, a coalition of local initiatives focused
on enhancing Fair Trade’s presence in their communities, and other
leading Fair Trade organizations to make World Fair Trade Day 2008 the
biggest yet.
